DESCRIPTION:
A security issues and some vulnerabilities have been reported in the
Chaos Tool Suite module for Drupal, which can be exploited by
malicious users to conduct script insertion attacks, bypass certain
security restrictions, and compromise a vulnerable system and by
malicious people to conduct cross-site request forgery attacks.
1) Certain input passed via the node titles is not properly sanitised
before being displayed to the user. This can be exploited to insert
arbitrary HTML and script code, which will be executed in a user's
browser session in context of an affected site when the malicious
data is being viewed.
2) The module allows users to perform certain actions via HTTP
requests without performing any validity checks to verify the
requests. This can be exploited to e.g. enable or disable certain
pages by tricking a logged in user into visiting a malicious web
site.
3) Certain unspecified input is not properly sanitised before being
used in the import functionality. This can be exploited to execute
arbitrary PHP code.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability requires "administer
page manager" permissions.
4) An error in the handling of access permissions can be exploited to
view the titles of unpublished nodes.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability requires "access
content" permissions.
The security issue and the vulnerabilities are reported in versions
prior to 6.x-1.4.
SOLUTION:
Update to version 6.x-1.4
